A collection of the first published Angel comics! Angel #1–#14, #17, Angel: Long Night’s Journey #1–#4, Dark Horse Presents #153–#155: “Hunting Ground,” Dark Horse Extra #25–#28: “Angel,” and Angel: Point of Order.

The artwork was generally pretty good and clear to follow. Eric Powell’s work at the beginning of The “Changeling Wife” was very disappointing but it improved as the story went on. The artwork in his later tales were much better. Probably my favorite artist in the book was Christian Zander. I also found the artwork in the “Hunting Ground” by Brian Horton and Paul Lee to be pretty poor. I have never watched the TV series but I found the stories entertaining and easy to read and they went along at a good pace. The only exception was “Long Nights Journey” that I found very difficult to follow, I am a fan of Joss Whedon’s Firefly TV series. 7/10
