The third volume in the Battle Pope Series is as good as the first two volumes. It is still just as offensive and funny and the art is spot on. This volume introduces Santa and Mary as new characters to great effect. Mr. Vaughan is overdue a visit from the Spanish Inquisition I think :-). Definitely not recommended for sensitive religious types. [ISBN-13: 978-1582406770]. 8/10.

[Destroyer Premiere (Hardcover)] – (Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker)
I really enjoyed this story of an aging super grandad who is given a short time to live and sets about trying to destroy any future threats to his family. The gore is rather silly at times but not in a stomach churning way. The story is very well written, easy to follow and moves along at a terrific pace. Robert Kirkman is excellent at balancing comedy and drama and this book is a fine example of that. I also really enjoyed Cory Walkers crisp and colorful art style. Great book that has an awful lot of similarity with his Brit series which I also like a lot. Not sure it really needed the “MAX” rating as it only has the odd naughty word and a bit of comic gore.
